Sui Aye

From Burma, Asia, Sui Aye moved to the Kansas City, Kansas area in 2014, where she graduated from high school in 2021. Currently, Sui is studying early childhood education at the local KCK community college. Sui first gained exposure to CHC on a temp basis, where she worked at a vaccination event hosted by CHC at KMart, as a translator for the Burmese community. It is through this experience that she discovered her passion for helping others. Being able to see residents' faces when she was able to translate for them and help them was a highly rewarding experience that inspired Sui to keep helping others. For Ms. Aye, one of the greatest joys of doing community-serving work is being a voice for those who have no representation, and connecting Wyandotte residents with resources and opportunities they otherwise would not be aware of.
