Santa Moreno was born and raised in Arizona until her family moved to the KC area when she was 13. She has been the go-to person for her family for most of her life and helping came natural to her which translated into her wanting to help people in general. She comes from a background of working in insurance and banking. Growing up and as an adult, she has been very involved with her church and her community. The majority of the community she worked with were Hispanic and Latino, and she was able to help so much more being able to speak Spanish with those she worked with. Doing this work helped Santa see various situations and struggles that people faced that she wasn’t aware of before.
As a CHW, Santa hopes to continue helping people in the community and opening doors that can feel impossible. She wants to learn more about how the healthcare and government systems work and figure out how she can be helpful to finding clients the assistance and resources they’re looking for. Santa wants people to know that she is there to advocate for them as well as she can.
