Since 2002, CHC has improved health in Kansas City by engaging community to identify and address health inequities, amplifying community voices, and serving as a community convener, organizer, and intermediary.
In 2027, CHC will celebrate its 25th anniversary! A lot has changed since 2002, and as we change and grow, so do our mission and vision. Moving forward, these include:
MISSION The Community Health Council of Wyandotte County exists to enhance access and equity to meet the health-related needs of the population we serve.
VISION We envision a thriving Wyandotte County and Kansas City metro where every resident enjoys equitable access to quality healthcare and the opportunity to live their healthiest life, regardless of background or circumstances.
These guiding principles are significant - shepherding CHC’s activities and decisions while aligning with our core values.
Objective: Ensure programs and operations remain responsive to community need, inclusive of community voice, and accountable to those served.
STRATEGIES
